Go Spermies, GO!

In case you have been wondering what’s been occupying my (and the wifey’s) time lately – here’s your answer. 🙂

My lovely wife, Brute Yogi (aka Lisa) and me! 🙂

I couldn’t resist checking out the stats for this past year on the xfitinyogi blog.  Thanks to everyone who read and commented (either here, FaceBook or in personal messages), I truly appreciate your thoughts on what I put out in the world.  It also helps me come up with other things to say, so keep it coming!  It seems that the most popular was the post on whether or not I still CrossFit (here), views popped up from all over the globe (pretty cool!).  The most comments came from the most recent post about my very short adventure in the fire academy (here).

For those of you that do not know, I have two other blogs out there that aren’t publicized on FaceBook or Twitter (I don’t even have a personal FaceBook page any more, I just tag on to the wife’s, BruteYogi!).  If your interested in reading my thoughts, adventures, journeys, etc about LGBTQ issues and trying to build a family I’ll gladly share the blogs with you before I start sharing them over social media, etc.  They are still in their infancy trying to find their way through the blogosphere.

Feel free to let me know your thoughts on anything written or would like to see written.  While some friends think I’m fairly mysterious (yes, BulletProofJenn – you!) I am an open book when engaged in converstation – ask away!  If it’s not appropriate material for this blog I’ll link to the others.  We’re all curious mother fuckers aren’t we ;).

Happy New Year!  May all of you have an amazing fulfilling successful start to the year that carries you through to your next PR, what ever that may be.  Namaste Strong Bitches!

Here’s an excerpt:

A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 2,700 times in 2014. If it were a cable car, it would take about 45 trips to carry that many people.

To all the Teddy’s Out There

It’s not uncommon for me to tell out-of-state friends all the wonderful things I love about California. In fact, after the winter they had back East, it’s VERY hard not to! Of course going back for the occasional snow storm is always fun, especially when you can leave and head back to perfect SoCal weather. Friends here say they can’t imagine having to “hunker down” for a hurricane, or being “snowed-in” during a blizzard. One thing they didn’t mention… were fires.

It was hot last Wednesday. But having just been in Florida where 80 degrees with high humidity left me sweating constantly.. 90 degrees of dry heat, frankly, wasn’t feeling too too bad. I got to work, only to find our entire computer system was down. AKA.. we couldn’t do a thing. The prognosis was “it could be five minutes, or it could be hours”. Finally at 10 o’clock, people…

“It takes a long time to become young”

I miss having this girl around to workout with! Beautiful post. Happy Birthday Jen!

It’s official… I’m 30. The big 3-0. I thought I would DREAD saying that… but it’s actually, kind of fun. 🙂

Awesome...Since 1984 Awesome…Since 1984

I’m not a birthday fan. While I tend to be a pretty strong individual, for some reason, my actual birth-day can bring me to tears and on more than one occasion has. I think this is because on my birthday, I tend to feel pressure. Some people find this funny and I have a hard time explaining it, but that’s really the only way I can describe it. As if this one day HAS to live up to something. Some years I won’t even know what that something is, but man, I decide it in fact hasn’t lived up to that, I crack and the tears flow. So naturally, with the big 3-0 approaching, I was bracing myself for waterworks on a grand scale. After all, leaving…

Day 8

Short sweet and to the point (because I gotsta go to bed and get my sleep point!).

Don’t go to Cosco hungry!  You’ll buy a lot of food.

Giant Bowl of Fruit...did you guess correctly?

Giant Bowl of Fruit…did you guess correctly?

Fruit is a lifesaver when fake ass sugar is not allowed.  I’m really liking this crap ton of fruit in the house, I must admit.

Da Wod.... In hieroglyphics.

Da Wod….
In hieroglyphics.

Got all my points for the day.  And threw a bonus 5 points in for having another string of four perfect 10’s in a row.  We’ll chat more tomorrow, when I’m at work – hardly working.

Today’s Total: 15

ann marie & lisa

I want to thank Emily of http://4realequalityweddings.com/ for putting this blog together to showcase beautiful weddings, ceremonies, engagements and resources in the LGBT community. Love is beautiful! Lisa and I would also like to thank everyone that helped make our ceremony the most perfect night ever! We love our family and friends, for real!

for real

I love seeing the weddings of couples whose engagement shoots were on my blog previously!  Lisa & Ann Marie were featured back in April of 2013.  And here is their wedding!  Ann Marie wrote , “Our photographer, Chris Malpass , sent you our engagement session early last year, and we were beyond thrilled to be featured in your blog!  Now we are married!  (Well, as married as we can be in the state of Virginia.)
Lisa and I met at a Crossfit Gym a little over three years ago.  A friendship was instantly formed – we both share a love for weightlifting, yoga, dogs, good food and the outdoors.  That friendship blossomed quickly into what is undeniably the most amazing relationship based on trust, honesty, integrity and lots of laughter.  Lisa makes me smile every day!
Our wedding was completely DIY.  We had a vision, an amazing friend that offered…
